✨ This One Got Better With Time (Revisited)

🔍 After Sitting / Maceration Update:

After letting this cologne sit for a couple of months, it honestly shot up to a new tier of excellence. Before, I said the projection felt weak and the scent didn’t hit as hard but now? It’s like a whole new fragrance. The projection is way stronger, the blend feels smoother, and it carries this rich warmth that wasn’t there before. I guess time really brought this one to life because it’s performing like a completely different scent now.

💨 Performance:

Like I said, the performance just shot through the roof. This one easily lasts 8+ hours now with a strong, noticeable scent trail. Sometimes you really do have to let certain colognes sit longer than others for them to reach their full potential and this one proves it. It’s grown into a straight up scent bomb, and I’m loving every bit of it.

🧠 Compliments & Vibe:

In my old post, I said this one didn’t get any compliments well, that definitely changed. Now it’s one of my most complimented scents. I’ve had people tell me I smell like a sugar cookie or like burnt sugar (in a good way). The warmth and sweetness really stand out now, and it leaves that cozy, edible kind of vibe that catches attention without trying too hard. This one went from being ignored to straight-up getting noticed everywhere.

💭 Final Thoughts:

I didn’t give this dupe much of a chance at first because it smelled way too synthetic and alcohol heavy. It just didn’t hit like how everyone said it would. But after letting it sit and really come into its own, I get it now this is a great dupe. There’s nothing about it that feels like it’s trying too hard to copy the original anymore. It stands strong on its own, and for $35–$65, you honestly can’t beat it. It hits hard, smells quality, and proves that sometimes a little patience can turn a “maybe” scent into a must have.

2025/10/21 Edited to

... Read moreWhen it comes to colognes and fragrances, patience often plays a bigger role in their final performance than many realize. The process of maceration, where a fragrance is allowed to sit for weeks or months after production, can significantly develop and deepen the scent profile. This sitting time allows the alcohol and more volatile molecules to mellow out, resulting in smoother blends and enhanced projection — exactly what was experienced in this revisited cologne review. Many fragrance lovers underestimate how much a scent can change and improve after initial purchase. What may seem synthetic or harsh first can mature into a warm, rich aroma that interacts beautifully with your skin chemistry. This transformation is particularly true for dupes, or imitation fragrances, which sometimes need extra time to shed any artificial alcohol-heavy notes and reveal their true character. In this case, the cologne evolved into a "scent bomb" with impressive longevity of 8+ hours and a stronger sillage that commands attention without overwhelming. The sweet, burnt sugar and sugar cookie-like nuances create an inviting, edible vibe that feels cozy and wearable in everyday settings. This adds not only to personal satisfaction but also tends to attract compliments, a key factor many seek in their signature fragrances. It's also important to consider price-to-performance ratio. Dupes priced between $35 and $65 that mature this well and provide quality comparable to pricier originals offer exceptional value. For those exploring affordable options without compromising on scent richness and lasting power, giving these fragrances proper maceration time is a smart strategy. Incorporating this knowledge can elevate how you shop for and enjoy fragrances. Rather than dismissing a scent prematurely, allowing it to age properly can uncover hidden depths and enhance your overall experience. The mention of "LIQUID BRUN" in the imagery suggests a brand or line associated with these qualities, possibly worth exploring further for those who appreciate well-crafted affordable fragrances. Overall, understanding the impact of time and maceration enriches your fragrance journey, turning what might initially be a "maybe" scent into an indispensable favorite that fits effortlessly into your men's fashion and lifestyle routine.
