My Book Tracker
My cute little project I’ve been working on for a while! It makes me so happy and I love tracking my books here! (excluding manga because there’s just SO much)
Okay, so I absolutely had to share more about my book tracker because it's truly become one of my favorite little projects! Before I started this, my reading life felt a bit chaotic – I'd forget what I'd read, mix up authors, and completely lose track of books I wanted to recommend or revisit. That's when I decided I needed my own system, something more personal than just a Goodreads list (though I use that too!). What do I track? Well, beyond the basics like title, author, and publication year, I love adding my start and end dates. This helps me see how long it takes me to finish a book, and sometimes I even note down where I was when I read it – like that time I devoured 'THE SON OF NEPTUNE' on a beach vacation! I also have sections for my personal rating (out of 5 stars), a short 'Pages Review' where I jot down initial thoughts, and a space for favorite quotes. Sometimes I even track my mood while reading or a key theme that resonated with me. It’s amazing how much more memorable a book becomes when you actively engage with it like this. My tracker itself is a mix of digital and physical. For the main list, I use a simple spreadsheet because it's easy to search and sort. But for the 'cute little project' part, I have a dedicated notebook where I do more elaborate entries, doodle, and paste little mementos like movie tickets if the book was adapted. It's totally customizable! I've seen friends use Bullet Journals, dedicated apps, or even just a simple note on their phone. The key is finding what makes you happy and what you'll actually stick with. The biggest benefit? It's not just about organization. It's about deepening my connection with every story. I find myself 'Abbessed with the night now' after finishing a particularly good thriller, and having a place to write that down really captures the 'hype' I feel. It's like a personal archive of my literary adventures! It helps me spot reading trends, discover new genres I love, and even challenge myself to read more diverse authors. If you're looking for a way to make your reading journey even more joyful and organized, I highly recommend starting your own book tracker. It's a small effort for a huge reward!
