FALL FOOD
This recipe turned out SO GOOD 🤤 (my fiancé requested this for his birthday, hence the birthday decorations)
I added 3 chai tea bags, 1tsp ground ginger and 1tsp allspice to the dry ingredients for the applesauce bread to give it a chai spiced flavor. That's optional :)
I also added 2tsp instant coffee powder to the goats cheese frosting recipe. (you can substitute cream cheese if you wish)
Overall rating: 10/10
Fall is the perfect time to explore new flavors in your baking. This chai spiced applesauce bread combines the warm spices of cinnamon, ginger, and allspice, creating a comforting treat that pairs beautifully with the creamy coffee goat cheese frosting. The addition of chai tea bags infuses the bread with an aromatic richness, while subtle notes of instant coffee enhance the frosting's flavor. To prepare the applesauce bread, you'll need a mix of all-purpose and whole wheat flour for a hearty base, along with oils or melted butter to create a moist texture. If you're looking for a lower-fat option, Greek yogurt can be used to replace some of the fat without sacrificing flavor. The goat cheese frosting adds a tangy richness that perfectly contrasts the sweet spices of the bread, making each bite a delightful experience. Don't forget to adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less powdered sugar to the frosting. For a truly festive dessert, consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg on top of the frosting for an extra touch. This recipe not only makes an incredible dessert but can also double as a sweet breakfast treat. Enjoy this cake with a warm cup of chai tea for the ultimate fall indulgence!
