To the girl wanting for feel good in her body!

I think we’ve all had days where we just don’t feel our best. I think it’s normal.

But picking yourself up and focusing on what your body can do and doing something for yourself every day is such a positive habit to get into.

People may snark that I have to run or workout but it fills my cup and makes me feel good and confident. I know this helps me. And maybe it helps you too!

Treat your body knowing it’s the only one we get 🙏🏻

... Read moreHey everyone! Expanding on my earlier thoughts about feeling great in our bodies, I wanted to dive deeper into how we can truly achieve that 'goddess' feeling, no matter our size or shape. It's a deeply personal journey, not a destination, and it really starts with a simple but incredibly powerful mantra: commit to yourself. For so long, I (like many of us) was caught up in the idea of looking 'a certain way' — you know, the images plastered everywhere that rarely reflect real bodies. But what truly clicked for me was shifting my mindset to focus on being stronger vs looking a certain way. This was revolutionary! It meant celebrating every small victory – lifting a heavier weight at the gym, running a little further, or simply having more energy to enjoy my day and play with my pets. This mindset, I’ve found, is incredibly empowering because it frees you from endless comparisons and unrealistic expectations. It allows you to appreciate your body for its capabilities, for carrying you through life, and for its unique beauty, whatever your body type may be. True strength and confidence shine from within, not from fitting into a mold. Another game-changer for me was learning to cleanse your life. This isn't just about detoxing your diet for a week; it's about decluttering your mind, your environment, and even your social circles. I started noticing how much negative self-talk I had, or how certain social media accounts or even conversations with friends made me feel less-than. Removing those elements – whether it was unfollowing accounts that promoted unrealistic beauty standards, setting boundaries with people who drained my energy, or simply reorganizing my living space – made a huge difference in my self-perception and mental well-being. It freed up so much mental space to focus on what truly makes me happy and healthy, creating a positive internal landscape. The original post touched on doing something for yourself every day, and I cannot stress this enough: do something every day that makes you feel good. It doesn't have to be a grueling workout! Some days, it’s a gentle walk in nature, stretching, cooking a nutritious meal, reading a good book, practicing mindfulness, or spending quality time with loved ones. It's about consciously nurturing your spirit and body. These small, consistent acts of self-love accumulate and build incredible confidence and a deep sense of self-worth. They remind you that you are worthy of care and attention, simply because you exist. And finally, the most profound realization for me is to remember you have one body, be thankful for it. Our bodies are incredible, resilient machines that carry us through life, allow us to experience the world, and connect with others. Instead of criticizing them for what they aren't, let's appreciate them for what they *can do*. This gratitude practice has been truly transformative. When I look in the mirror now, I see strength, resilience, and beauty in my unique form. It's about accepting and loving the skin you're in, celebrating every curve, every capability, and every part that makes you, you. So, whether you’re just starting your journey to self-love or you’re deep into it, remember that feeling like a 'goddess' comes from within. It’s about empowerment, health, and a deep appreciation for your amazing body. Let's keep lifting each other up and embracing our incredible selves!
