It’s the little things

Planning an engagement party truly is all about those 'little things' that make it uniquely yours and totally unforgettable for everyone, especially the happy couple! For our special day, Braden and I poured our hearts into every detail, making sure each element told a piece of our story. One of my absolute favorite details was our *welcome area*. We used a custom welcome mirror that greeted guests with our names, which instantly set a personal and elegant tone. Right next to it, we had a rustic barrel holding a chalkboard sign asking for marriage advice. We provided cute little advice cards and pens, encouraging everyone to share their wisdom. It was so touching reading through them later – some were hilarious, others incredibly sweet and heartfelt, really capturing that 'romantic couple hold hand quotes' vibe, but for marriage advice! It’s a wonderful way to collect memories and insights from loved ones. Our photo displays were another highlight. Instead of just a standard photo booth, we repurposed some old green wooden shutters into a charming photo board. We strung up fairy lights and clipped on candid shots from our relationship, alongside beautiful white flowers and greenery. We also had a separate display dedicated to pictures from our proposal shoot, framed with burlap and eucalyptus. Seeing all those moments strung together really brought our journey to life for our guests and was a sweet reminder of how far we've come. It added such a warm, romantic focal point, almost like our own visual 'love quotes' gallery. And of course, the sweets! Our heart-shaped engagement cake, beautifully adorned with 'engaged' in gold and a 'She said yes!' topper, was a showstopper. But the personalized sugar cookies were the real hit! Having our names, 'Braden & Audry,' on heart and diamond-shaped cookies in our party colors made them feel so special. We also had a dessert display with chocolate chip cookie sandwiches and a framed quote, 'WE DECIDED ON FOREVER and always,' which perfectly tied into the romantic theme. To create a festive yet intimate atmosphere, we opted for a gorgeous balloon arch in white, gold, and olive green, framing a sign that celebrated 'Congratulations Braden & Audry She said YES!' It was the perfect backdrop for photos. Our table centerpieces featured bright sunflowers, a framed photo of us, and a charming white lantern, bringing a touch of rustic romance to each table. Ultimately, these details weren't just decorations; they were expressions of our love and gratitude.
