What I Got From The Library Part 1
I went to the library yesterday with my sister and got some books. The first three are books that I checked out and have to be returned the rest I got off of the free books shelf in the back of the library.
I realized I don’t go to the library as often as I should and I am gosh to make sure I go as often as I can in 2026 because just browsing the shelves, I sow so many books that were on my TBR! #book haul 📚 #libraryhaul #local library 📚 #librarybooks
Visiting the library can be such an enriching experience, especially when you discover books that have been on your to-be-read (TBR) list for a while. During my recent visit with my sister, I was pleasantly surprised by how many captivating titles were waiting just on the shelves. Checking out books is a great way to enjoy new stories without any cost, and many libraries have a wonderful selection of free books on special shelves, which makes the experience even more rewarding. Many of the books I picked up this time are from authors well-known for their gripping stories, such as Ali Hazelwood, whose work has been highly praised for being passionate and witty. Works like 'Love, Theoretically' blend elements of romance with sharp humor and are perfect for readers looking for an engaging escape. Meanwhile, classic authors like Emily Brontë, with timeless works like 'Wuthering Heights,' remind us of literature's enduring power. Exploring the free book shelves also introduced me to some gripping novels, including Lisa Wingate's 'Before We Were Yours' and Ariel Lawhon’s 'Code Name Hélène,' both known for their compelling historical narratives and dynamic characters. These stories provide not just entertainment but also a glimpse into important historical moments through personal dramas. One of the joys of visiting a local library is the thrill of finding unexpected treasures, whether it’s a bestseller by a New York Times bestselling author or a classic tale beautifully introduced by literary scholars. I’m inspired to make library visits a regular habit in 2026, as it’s a fantastic way to access quality literature, support community resources, and cultivate a love for reading. If you haven’t visited your local library recently, I highly recommend it. Browsing the shelves can reveal stories you might never have considered and can broaden your literary horizons. Plus, taking books home to enjoy without the expense of purchasing them is an unbeatable benefit! For anyone passionate about books, sharing a library haul is a fun way to connect with fellow readers, discuss favorites, and discover new authors. Whether you’re into romance, thrillers, historical fiction, or classic literature, there’s always something new to explore. Happy reading and happy library hunting!
