At 54, who has always been familiar with oil cars.

Transition to Electric Railway (EV)

It's a very exciting new experience.

Even the driving principle is similar.

But there are "technical" details.

And a fairly different "lifestyle."

So we have to learn...

1.Driving Feeling: "Quiet but darting"

Accelerated rate: Electric cars don't have engine cycles like oil cars.

As soon as the throttle is touched, the torque will come immediately. The car will jump faster than it used to. Be careful about the foot weight shift at first.

Silence: The car will be so quiet that pedestrians may sometimes not hear our car. It is recommended to observe more people around you when driving in an alley or parking lot.

One-Pedal Driving: Most EVs have a brake assist when we lift the accelerator (Regenerative Braking) to power back into the battery, causing the car to slow down faster than a regular tanker, which may feel "prick" in the early days, but if used to it, it will make driving much more comfortable in the city.

2. Maintenance: "Simpler than before"

Cutting the Fluid Cycle: Forget about changing engine oil, oil filter, belt or spark plug. Because the EV does not have an engine, it mainly checks the braking system, tires and battery coolant.

Car tires: The electric car has a relatively large battery weight and high torque, allowing the tires to wear out about 20-30% faster than the oil car. It is recommended to choose a tire specifically designed for an EV car when it is time to replace it.

3. Battery and charging matters: "Fill the light instead of refueling."

Heart is 20% - 80%: To preserve the longest battery life, it is recommended to keep the battery capacity in the range of 20% to 80%. Do not leave it clean or hold 100% full charge often (except before a long trip).

Home charging: It is the most convenient and economical method. Install a standardized Wallbox and check the home light meter if it supports it.

Long distance travel: It requires advance planning through an application (such as MEA EV, PEA VOLTA or PlugShare) to see the charging point en route, and should be allowed to charge for about 30-45 minutes at a time.

4. Etiquette and precautions

Charge point etiquette: When charging to the desired level or full, the car should be moved immediately for others to use. Some stations have "Idle Fee."

Safety while charging: Can sit and rest in the car and turn on the air conditioner while charging normally, but should not pull off the charging head with severity; or use it if the charging cable is found to be damaged.
