ITS MY BIRTHDAY 🖤

You know it's sad to say that birthdays don't ring in true spirit anymore. one day you're celebrated for the day you were born and you're praised as a baby. the next you barely get to see your friends. you don't get a celebration and you probably got to wake up early. life is hard and sometimes cruel and even on the sad days like today I still get up. I get some mascara on and I just keep going... because honestly what else am I supposed to do?

I personally relate to this shift deeply. I remember times when birthdays meant parties, friends, and endless laughter, but as responsibilities pile on and social circles change, those joyous connections can fade. What helps me during these tougher birthdays is focusing on small acts of self-care—like a little makeup to boost confidence or a favorite treat to brighten the mood. It’s not about the external celebration but about recognizing your own worth and resilience. Life does throw curveballs; waking up early on your birthday or not having many friends around can feel isolating, but choosing to get up and keep moving is a quiet act of courage. I encourage others to redefine what birthdays mean personally. Use the day to reflect on growth, set new intentions, or simply rest and recharge. Connecting with loved ones, even virtually, or doing something meaningful to you can restore some of the birthday spirit. Remember, it’s okay to feel sad or miss the past, but it’s equally important to celebrate the strength you have now to face whatever comes next.
