At Nemuro Hanamaru, the salted roe sushi and flounder fin were outstanding, offering freshness that rivals any high-end sushi restaurant. I highly recommend trying their unique seasonal cuts! Another gem is Umino Farm in Minato City, famous for its thick hamachi sashimi — the freshness is unmistakable and perfect for those who appreciate raw fish at its best. While Tsujihan offers great sea bream broth, the long queue might be a consideration for those on a tight schedule. For a quick yet flavorful sushi fix, 立食い寿司みさき in Ueno uses red vinegar rice that adds a pleasant tang, and their negitoro was my personal favorite. If you visit Tsukiji Market, be sure to check out the multiple stalls offering premium cuts like uni at incredible prices. Ichiran in Shimbashi is a must-visit for ramen lovers, offering a rich and customizable experience that has kept me coming back multiple times. Ichi Ryu in Asakusa impressed me with its beef bone broth base and melt-in-your-mouth wagyu options, delivering a comforting warmth especially enjoyable in cooler weather. Though Katsu Seibu in Shibuya scored slightly lower on sushi quality, it’s a budget-friendly option worth trying if you’re exploring the area. Finally, Tendon Kanekohannosuke in Nihonbashi blew me away with massive portions and super tasty tempura, perfect for a hearty meal after a day of sightseeing. Each spot provides a unique glimpse into Tokyo’s diverse culinary culture, from fast and fresh sushi to soulful broths and tempura delights. Whether you prefer standing bars or sit-down meals, Tokyo’s food scene is rich with unforgettable experiences that satisfy every craving.
