My reaction to Valentines Day
The last time any man tried to impress me or make me feel special on Valentine's day, I was in high school. I don't go wild for Valentine's day, or expect anyone else to. But this is my 4th Valentine's Day with a partner, as an adult. And none of my partners have ever cared to celebrate with me.
I buy them small thoughtful cards. A favorite candy. Maybe fun laptop stickers. I'll make a yummy dinner, or their favorite treat. And I've always received absolutely nothing in return.
Times I have complained about this, I get told how it isn't a big deal, or that I'm being ridiculous.
Maybe I am being ridiculous?
