They are young but young doesn’t equal unable

Let’s cut the crap, saying teenage relationships are completely invalid is lazy and condescending. Yeah, teens are young but young doesn’t equal unable.

Why is it so hard to believe a 16 yrs old can treat their partner with kindness? Or that they can sit down, talk through a fight instead of blowing up? Or that they can have a relationship that’s not toxic? Not every teen relationship works out but newsflash, most adult relationships don’t either. Do we call those invalid just because they fizzle? No.

Dismissing a teen’s happy relationship with you’re too young to know isn’t wise, it’s rude. It ignores the care, effort, and genuine feelings they’re putting in. Love and respect don’t have an age limit. So if a teen relationship is healthy, kind, and mutual, why does their age make it any less real?

My husband and I first became girlfriend and boyfriend at 12 years old. I definitely think that we were way too young, but look where we ended up.. it definitely took us some years to actually mature… But we really grew our relationship into something really real

To be honest I stayed single till I was 17 years old because I just wasn’t ready for one but hey it’s not like I didn’t have feelings before that! Of course teenagers can be in love there is no age for that!
