Would you choose rich bfs or men with adversity?
Call me picky but I swear guys who grew up with silver spoons in their mouths, most are arrogant jerks who don’t know what real life’s like. Let me explain with my ex vs. current BF.
My ex was loaded: trust fund, fancy cars, never worked a day in his life. He’d roll his eyes when I talked about my side hustle to pay rent, or laugh when I said I couldn’t drop $500 on a dinner. He thought “adversity” was his favorite coffee shop running out of oat milk.
Now I’m with my current partner: he grew up poor, worked three jobs to put himself through college, and knows what it’s like to scrap by. He listens when I vent about bills, celebrates my small wins, and never makes me feel less for not having his kind of money. The best part? He’s humble.
I don’t care about wealth, I care about resilience. Someone who’s fought for what they have gets life in a way rich guys never will. Am I wrong for writing off guys who grew up privileged? Has anyone else had better luck with partners who’ve been through adversity?
