Zion with the nighttime zoomies lol
First, excuse the mess, was in the middle of cleaning up & took this quick video. So pls don’t judge me, its rude & annoying.
My son does this every nite nonstop for like almost 30/45 mins, its so funny to me & I’m happy he’s happy doing his own thing. Its moments like this that us autism parents love bc despite the 20 million meltdowns a day, the fustration of them not being able to tell us whats wrong, & everything else inbetween that can happen in a day. Its the little moments we’re so happy about it. I mean we definitely love when our little ones hit major milestones, but its the little moments we cherish so much. #Lemon8Diary #autismmom #ausomekid #autismawareness
Nighttime zoomies, like those experienced by Zion, are bursts of energy that many children, including those with autism, exhibit, often as a way to express excitement or release pent-up energy. For parents of autistic children, recognizing and embracing these moments can be both uplifting and grounding. While the day may include multiple sensory challenges and communication barriers, these playful bursts serve as a reminder of the child’s unique personality and joy. Understanding the behavior behind nighttime zoomies is essential. They often stem from the child’s sensory processing needs or as a routine to manage stress. Encouraging safe spaces and allowing these moments can help improve emotional regulation. Moreover, such activities foster independence and self-expression, important milestones for children on the autism spectrum. Parents sharing their stories, like this heartfelt recount of Zion’s nighttime zoomies, contribute significantly to the autism community. They provide support, reduce stigma, and promote awareness through authentic experiences. Tags such as #autismmom, #ausomekid, and #autismawareness help connect families and advocates, creating a compassionate support network. Maintaining patience and celebrating these small but meaningful moments can positively impact the parent-child relationship. Autism awareness continues to grow, highlighting the importance of focusing not only on milestones but also on everyday happiness and progress. Embracing the messiness and chaos at times, as described in the video’s context, is part of the journey many families face. Ultimately, this story of Zion’s zoomies is a testament to love, resilience, and the power of finding joy in the little things that make each child uniquely wonderful.
