When a fun event like the Colour Run gets cancelled, it can feel disappointing. However, turning attention to assessment tasks is critical since these contribute heavily to final grades and future opportunities. Interestingly, small rewards can create great motivation. In this article, the principal’s gesture of bringing pizza as a reward is a perfect example of how schools encourage students. Such recognition helps maintain morale during a busy academic period. From my experience, balancing enjoyable moments with focus on priorities is important. Celebrating successes, no matter how small, keeps the spirit up during stressful times. Also, staying positive and keeping a good attitude often leads to new opportunities and support from teachers and peers. If you’re in a similar stage, my advice is to embrace both the ups and downs of school life, stay organized with your assessments like English and Business, and take advantage of supportive gestures from your school community. Keep your eyes on your goals and remember that these experiences build resilience and character for the future.
