day 44 year 12 high school vlog student term 2
Balancing the rigors of Year 12 with creative pursuits can be challenging but incredibly rewarding. From my own experience, being involved in drama really helped me develop confidence and teamwork skills that transferred well into academic areas, especially during stressful periods like exam preparation. In drama class, the use of tools such as the director's microphone not only makes the process fun but also hones communication skills. For instance, experimenting with voice volume and whispering into the microphone can create unique atmospheres and foster creativity. Activities like these encourage students to step outside their comfort zones and work collaboratively, which is essential for personal growth. Aside from the artistic side, preparing for calculus and other challenging subjects requires effective study habits. Practice tests are invaluable, as they simulate exam conditions and help identify areas needing improvement. Even when test days coincide with other important events, like drama performances, managing time effectively is key to maintaining balance and staying focused. Classroom environment can significantly impact motivation and learning. Rearranging furniture might seem disruptive, but it often aims to improve comfort and engagement. Although change can be met with resistance initially, it helps students adapt and find new ways to interact, whether through sitting arrangements or group dynamics. Engaging in group games or role-playing scenarios, like acting as a 'healer' or villager in a game, also builds empathy and strategic thinking outside of traditional learning. Combining these elements creates a well-rounded approach to surviving and thriving in your final year of high school, blending academic demands with social and creative experiences.
