Forty Foot Falls via Red Trail, Lake Alexandra

2025/6/12 Edited to

... Read moreIf you're planning a visit to Forty Foot Falls, I recommend starting early in the day to fully enjoy the tranquility of Lake Alexandra Reserve. The Red Trail is well-marked and suitable for moderate hikers, with some gentle slopes and shaded areas along the path. Along the way, keep an eye out for native birdlife and local flora that make this reserve unique. Don't forget to bring water and wear sturdy walking shoes, especially if you plan to explore beyond the main trail. Many visitors capture beautiful photos of the falls and surrounding lake, so if you're into photography, this spot won’t disappoint. Also, consider venturing nearby to explore other parts of Mittagong and the Southern Highlands for a full day of nature and exploration. The area's peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty offer a refreshing break from city life, making Forty Foot Falls via the Red Trail a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone looking to unwind in nature.
