Oliver is officially packed and polished!… and apparently filing formal grievances with anyone willing to take the report.

He would like it noted that he endured ANOTHER full bath, blow dry, and grooming session THIS WEEK against his will, all in the name of “being adorable” for his new dad. He believes the photographic evidence clearly documents the injustice.

Despite the hardship, he is freshly fluffed, looking very distinguished, and ready to begin his next adventure. Godspeed, little sir. 🤎

... Read moreHaving gone through grooming sessions myself with my own mini Aussie puppy, I can relate to Oliver’s mixed feelings about bath time and drying. While it’s a struggle to keep them calm during the process—especially when they’d much rather be chasing balls—the results are always worth it. A good grooming session, including a proper bath and blow dry, not only makes your puppy look their best but also helps maintain healthy coat and skin. I found that using gentle shampoos specifically formulated for puppies reduces any potential irritation. Also, incorporating short, positive reinforcement breaks during grooming helps reduce stress for your furry friend. When I first started, Oliver’s fur was prone to matting, and regular grooming prevented painful tangles. Beyond the aesthetics, the bonding time during grooming deepens the puppy-owner relationship. Finally, don’t hesitate to document these moments—the contrast between a freshly groomed, dapper mini American Shepherd and their pre-bath fluffy self is always adorable! Whether it’s a special sendoff for a new home or just part of regular care, turning grooming into a fun, consistent routine with patience and love makes all the difference in your puppy’s happiness and appearance.
