She didn’t recognize herself 😭

4/23 Edited to

... Read moreThere are moments in life when we glance in the mirror and feel like we don’t recognize the person staring back. These instances can be triggered by many factors like stress, significant physical changes, or deep emotional shifts. For me, this feeling hit hard after going through a stressful period where I neglected self-care and felt increasingly disconnected from who I was. I found that acknowledging these feelings instead of ignoring them was the first step towards rebuilding my identity. Taking time to reflect on what had changed and why helped me regain a sense of control. I also discovered that reaching out to close friends and sharing my experience provided comfort and perspective. Taking incremental steps like establishing a daily routine, engaging in activities I once enjoyed, and practicing mindfulness gradually restored my sense of self. It reminded me that although change can feel disorienting, it also presents an opportunity for growth and rediscovery. If you find yourself feeling like you don’t recognize who you are, remember it’s okay to feel this way. Allow yourself the grace and time to navigate through these changes—sometimes the most rewarding journeys begin with questioning our own reflections.

She Didn’t Recognize Herself…in the Best Way
She didn’t rush her healing… but somewhere along the way, she outgrew the version of herself she once had to survive. Sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t loud. It’s steady. Quiet. Yours. If this feels like you, you’re doing better than you think. Save this gentle reminder 💛 …

There are still moments where I don’t even recognize myself… not in a bad way, but in a “wow, I handled that differently” kind of way. I didn’t react the same, I didn’t chase the same things, and I didn’t sit in feelings the way I used to. And it honestly caught me off guard. For so long, I real

How to recognize patterns and respond differently✨
Going beyond recognizing your patterns is to understand why they are there in the first place. Our nervous system holds the key to this! Ask yourself these questions the next time you catch yourself in a behavior or thought that you don't prefer, drop into your body, and let it speak to you~
