Bathroom Makeover, simple & budget friendly 🫶
✨ Room inspo
We are in the process of redoing the basement at my mother’s house. The first room we fully finished was this bathroom.
As you can see in the before picture, it needed a lot of work. The flooring was very old and cracked (I ripped it up and cleaned it before placing the peel n stick tiles).
The walls were an old, dull yellow so I brightened it up by painting them white. Also adding an accent wall with the wallpaper! 🌺
Replaced the vanity with a cheapie cabinet from marketplace and added a sink to the top.
Painted the brown cabinet white and added wood to the top and stained it.
My boyfriend added new lights that made it MUCH brighter. We also painted the door a sage green color and some of the trimming black.
💸 Price: I don’t know the exact amount, but I’d guess around $500 for everything. Most of that was the flooring and vanity/sink.
It brightened it up SOOOO much and feels/looks like a whole new space! 🪴

Are you looking to refresh your bathroom without breaking the bank? This budget-friendly makeover combines creativity and practical solutions to enhance your space. Start by replacing old flooring with peel-and-stick tiles; they're affordable and easy to install, ideal for transforming any bathroom quickly. Next, consider a fresh coat of paint to brighten the surroundings. Opting for lighter shades can make a small area feel more spacious and inviting. Accentuating with fun wallpaper can also add character without overwhelming the space. In this transformation, old cabinetry got a new life through paint and minor adjustments, proving that stylish upgrades don’t always have to be expensive. Updating lighting can significantly impact the ambiance of your bathroom. Consider swapping out outdated fixtures for brighter options that enhance visibility as well as aesthetics. Additionally, a new shower curtain from retailers like Target or Walmart can add a splash of color. Small, affordable decor pieces can complete the look, allowing you to infuse personal style into your space. Don't forget to look for deals on items like mirrors, sinks, and other fixtures on sites like Marketplace and Amazon. Budgeting around $500 can yield substantial results, creating a sanctuary you’re proud to showcase. This bathroom makeover is a reminder that with some creativity and smart shopping, a stunning update is achievable for any homeowner.
