Say Hello! I’m New Here~ A Little About Me…

It's been so much fun introducing myself here on Lemon8, and I'm already feeling so welcomed! You know, when I decided to join this platform, I really wanted a space to share more than just pretty pictures – I wanted to connect authentically, and I feel like I've found it. Going through my 'ten things about me' list made me realize how much of my life revolves around creating beauty and finding joy in the everyday. For instance, being an interior designer isn't just a job for me; it's a passion that started years ago. I absolutely love transforming spaces, making them both functional and beautiful. My design philosophy often leans towards creating interiors that tell a story, much like a carefully curated collection. I believe a home should be a reflection of the people living in it, filled with elements that bring comfort and inspiration. I'm excited to share some of my favorite design tips, behind-the-scenes glimpses of projects, and maybe even some affordable decor hacks right here. Living in Savannah, GA, with its charming historic homes and lush landscapes, definitely influences my aesthetic. There's a certain timeless elegance here that I try to weave into my work. And speaking of passions, my dream trip to the Italian countryside isn't just about beautiful scenery; it's about immersing myself in art, history, and incredible food. Imagine getting lost in quaint towns, discovering local artisans, and sketching the rolling hills – that’s my idea of pure bliss. It’s a huge source of inspiration for my art and even my cooking. You might find me sharing some Mediterranean-inspired recipes or travel mood boards soon! My hobbies, like painting and cooking, are really extensions of my desire to create. While I haven't picked up a brush as much as I'd like lately, the thought of creating small, original paintings again really excites me. There's nothing quite like the feeling of bringing an idea to life on canvas. And cooking? It's my way of showing love and unwinding after a busy day. I'm always experimenting with new flavors, especially those vibrant Mediterranean dishes. Even my 'light' gardening adds a touch of green and freshness to my home, something I find incredibly grounding. Then there are my collections – they might seem random, but each piece holds a memory or a story. From those unique mix-and-match fine china pieces I've gathered from antique shops, to the shells, rocks, and gems reminding me of beach adventures, they all contribute to the authentic design of my life. My golden retriever, who is (mostly!) well-behaved, is often right by my side as I'm arranging a new display or trying a new recipe. He’s definitely part of the family portrait!
