Mangonada Popsicles (Makes ~6)

Mango Base:

- 2 ripe mangoes (or 2 cups frozen, thawed)

- 2 tbsp sugar

- 1/4 cup water

- 1 tbsp lime juice

- 1/2 tsp Tajín

- 1/4 tsp chili powder

- Pinch of salt

Layer Add-ins:

1–2 Fruit Roll-Ups (cut into strips or shapes)

1/3 cup Gushers

3–4 tbsp chamoy (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions:

- Blend the Mango Mix:

Combine mango, sugar, water, lime juice, Tajín, chili powder, and salt in a blender. Blend until smooth.

- Prep the Molds:

Place a few Gushers and a strip of Fruit Roll-Up at the bottom of each mold. Drizzle with a bit of chamoy.

- Layer the Popsicles:

Pour in some mango mixture. Add more Gushers, Fruit Roll-Ups, and a little chamoy. Repeat until molds are full.

- Freeze:

Insert sticks and freeze for 6–8 hours or overnight.

- Unmold & Serve:

Run molds under warm water for 10–15 seconds to release the popsicles.

... Read moreMangonada Popsicles are not only a delightful way to enjoy the flavors of summer, but they also bring a splash of vibrant color to your dessert table. These popsicles are a popular treat inspired by the traditional Mexican beverage, the Mangonada, which combines mango, lime, and spicy flavors. To create the perfect Mangonada Popsicles, it's essential to use ripe mangoes for the best sweetness and texture. When blended, the mango base should be smooth and well-combined with sugar and lime juice. The addition of Tajín and chili powder introduces a unique kick that elevates these treats from ordinary frozen pops to something truly extraordinary. Don’t forget to customize your popsicles with fun add-ins! Fruit Roll-Ups and Gushers not only enhance the visual appeal but also provide playful textures that kids and adults alike will appreciate. For an extra tart twist, drizzle additional chamoy between layers; this will create a beautifully marbled effect in your popsicles. Finally, these treats are incredibly easy to prepare, making them a go-to option for parties, hot summer days, or simply as a fun activity with kids in the kitchen. Once frozen, they can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks, although they might not last that long due to their popularity! Enjoy them on a sunny day, and savor the sweet and spicy flavors that remind you of summer fun.
