Especially for my absolute favorite, the Steak Bagel! We've all wondered, right? How do they get those eggs so uniform and delicious every single time? After much trial and error in my own kitchen, I've finally cracked the code to making them just like the real deal. The key isn't just a frying pan; it's a combination of using egg rings and a little bit of steam. This method creates that signature texture and uniform shape that's instantly recognizable. Here's my personal go-to recipe for recreating those iconic McDonald's-style eggs, perfect for your homemade Steak Bagel: What You'll Need: 2 large eggs per sandwich A splash of milk or water (optional, for fluffiness) Salt and black pepper to taste Cooking spray or a pat of butter Non-stick frying pan with a lid Egg rings (silicone or metal, about 3-4 inches in diameter) My Secret Egg Prep Steps: Whisk Gently: In a small bowl, whisk your eggs with a fork until the yolks and whites are just combined. Don't over whisk, as you want a bit of texture. A tiny splash of milk or water can add extra fluffiness. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat and Grease: Place your non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Lightly spray the inside of your egg rings with cooking spray or grease them with a tiny amount of butter. Place the greased rings in the hot pan. Pour and Steam: Pour the egg mixture into each ring, filling it about halfway or two-thirds. This allows for expansion.
