THE VIRAL PIZZA AND BUTTER CHICKEN COMBINATION is a CERTIFIED 10/10? (But why?!!) 😩😩.. #foodreview #food #butterchicken #foodie #foodlover
Butter chicken and pizza is a 10/10. Butter chicken already comes with naan, and you’ve got options—regular, garlic, or cheese naan. In the video, we did a garlic cheese naan.
Start with ½ cup warm water, 1 tsp sugar, and 2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast—let it sit 5–10 minutes until foamy. In another bowl, mix 2 cups flour + 1 tsp salt, then add the yeast mixture, 2 tbsp melted butter, and ¼ cup Greek yogurt to form a dough. That’s basically pizza dough. Let sit for 1 hr… then cut into 4
Roll out 1/4… Stuff it with cheese, fold it, and pitch the end together..and roll it back out so it’s a cheesy flatbread, then fry it in a pan.
For the finish, brush on garlic Parmesan butter (2 tbsp melted butter, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp Parmesan, parsley, chili flakes, salt, and a little oregano if you want). I topped mine with hot honey—not traditional, but it works.
It’s basically cheese pizza without the sauce, and since butter chicken already has a tomato-based sauce, the combo just makes sense.#lemon8challenge #lemon8badgehunt
When I first heard about combining pizza with butter chicken, I was skeptical because they’re such different dishes from distinct cultures. But trying this viral combo was a pleasant surprise that completely changed my perspective! The trick is using naan bread stuffed with cheese instead of traditional pizza dough, which absorbs the rich butter chicken sauce beautifully. I followed a simple recipe similar to the viral one: mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast to activate; then blending flour, salt, melted butter, and Greek yogurt for the dough. After letting it rest, I rolled the dough halves, stuffed them with mozzarella, folded them into cheesy flatbreads, and pan-fried until golden. The garlic Parmesan butter topping it off adds a savory, aromatic note that perfectly complements the buttery tomato sauce of the butter chicken. Adding hot honey on top was a bold move that paid off, cutting through the richness with a touch of sweetness and heat. If you love butter chicken, this pairing brings a whole new way to enjoy it beyond the traditional naan or rice. It’s like a fusion pizza that’s comforting yet exciting—for sure a 10/10 food discovery. This combo combines the best of Italian and Indian flavors in a super easy and satisfying dish that I’d definitely recommend to foodies looking to experiment with fusion cuisine at home.
