Let’s just be real for a moment, book girlies, a lot of you like myself love reading romance stories. They are my guilty pleasures. But I’m not going to lie, I read romance because I crave being in a romantic relationship with someone. There’s nothing wrong with having endless bookshelves of book boyfriends you can read about on matter of seconds but I want an actual man not a fictional one. It’s okay to express you want a relationship within the book community.

... Read moreOkay, book girlies, let's dive a little deeper into this. We all adore our bookshelf full of book boyfriends, right? There's truly nothing wrong with getting lost in those captivating stories and loving reading and writing romance. But, if you're like me, sometimes after finishing an epic tale, you find yourself staring at your ceiling, thinking, "Okay, but where's my Rhysand or my Mr. Darcy?" It’s a completely valid feeling, and as the image text mentioned, it's nothing wrong with wanting a man in real life instead having a bookshelf full of book boyfriends. We crave that connection, that passion, that deep understanding that fictional characters seem to find so effortlessly. I'm just saying, I also want to fall in love too! So, how do we bridge the gap? How do we take that delicious craving for romance and actually manifest that into my actual life? It's not always easy, but it’s definitely possible. First, I think it's important to acknowledge that real-life relationships are different from our beloved book plots. There's no omniscient narrator, and communication is key (something many fictional heroes could learn!). Here are a few things I’ve been trying, and maybe they’ll resonate with you too: Step Out of Your Comfort Zone (and Your Reading Nook!): As much as I love my cozy reading spot, real-life connections don't usually knock on your door. Join a book club (a real-life one!), try a new hobby, or even just say "yes" to more social invitations. You never know who you might meet. Be Clear About What You Want: While we might swoon over a possessive billionaire in a book, think about what qualities truly matter to you in a real partner. Kindness, humor, shared values, good communication? Make a mental (or actual!) list. Dating Apps Aren't the Enemy: I know, I know. They can be a minefield. But they're also a great way to meet people you wouldn't otherwise. Be authentic, showcase your love for books, and don't be afraid to swipe left if someone doesn't spark your interest. Practice Self-Love: This might sound cliché, but it’s so true. When you’re happy and confident in yourself, you naturally attract positive energy and people. Treat yourself like the main character you are! Talk About It: Just like I'm doing now, and just like it says in my post, it's okay to express this desire. Chat with friends who also love romance novels. You might find you're not alone in wanting a man in real life, and they might have their own tips or just be a great sounding board. It’s about finding that balance between enjoying our fictional escapes and actively working towards the real-life romance we desire. Because honestly, while book boyfriends are amazing, having a real person to share adventures with, someone to talk about your latest read with, and someone to genuinely fall in love too… that's the ultimate happy ending.

Real OCD vs NOt OCD
Real talk: OCD isn’t just about liking things neat it’s a daily battle with intrusive thoughts and overwhelming anxiety. When we use OCD as a casual label for being organized, we overlook the struggles real people face. Let’s educate ourselves and stand up against ignorance. Every mind matters, and

Girl Let’s Be Real🫤🤍
Girl, let’s be real. Nobody’s life is perfect, even though it may look like it on social media. We all have moments of doubt, stress, or just feeling off. You’re not alone. And honestly, the magic happens when we embrace those imperfect parts of ourselves. It’s okay to admit that some days are h
