WIP Wednesday…Yes, another one!

I figured since I am writing a Christmas novella I would do a little WIP Wednesday for it as well. I just finished writing it and I LOVE this FMC.

I had said before that she is a bit like Amelia, snarky and doesn’t take crap from anyone. She’s a fiery one! But she’s a redhead so that makes sense! If this sounds like something you would like to do a quick ARC read for, let me know. I plan to release this by 11/1 so its a super quick turnaround. Just sent me a message or email me.

I grab a pillow from the closet, half tempted to chuck it at her just to see how she reacts. Instead, I walk back to the couch and toss it next to her. "Take my bed. It’s down the hall."

Ruby blinks, hugging the pillow to her chest. "What about you?"

"I’ll crash out here. Don’t worry about it." I shrug, already mentally settling into the leather couch. "I’ve slept out here before. I’ll be fine."

She sits up straighter, the blanket slipping from her shoulders, and gives me a once-over. "No way. You won’t fit on this couch—you’re way too big for that thing."

I raise an eyebrow. "And?"

"And you could, I don’t know..." She hesitates, then adds, "Sleep in the bed. With me. I won’t bite." She raises an eyebrow in defiance.

I stare at her, unsure if I heard her right. Sleep next to her? In this tiny-a$$ cabin, with a fire going, while she’s wrapped up under the blanket, all soft and tempting?

Not a chance.
