ALL THAT BLOOMS WAS ONCE BURIED
𝔹𝕃𝕌ℝ𝔹:
𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗬.
The Aetherbind is weakening, and creatures of legend slip through the cracks between realms. Far beneath the myth-ridden peaks of Midst Fall, something ancient stirs—something that should stay buried.
𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘.
Caelora has spent years hunting the man responsible for her mother's death. The problem? He's an Elder—and her father. But vengeance was never going to be hers alone.
Kaden, the reckless healer whose easy charm masks deeper scars, refuses to let her face the dark alone.
And Jace, the stoic runemaster who once carried her to safety, won't let her fade into the shadows.
𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗟.
As enemies close in and ancient power stirs in her blood, Caelora must face a truth more dangerous than vengeance—she was never meant to disappear.
Because some things don't wither in the dark. They bloom.
As a fan of dark fantasy romance, I found Between Lark and Lore deeply engaging for its rich world-building and complex characters. The story's foundation in Greek mythology gave the narrative a timeless depth, weaving ancient magic and legendary creatures like wyverns into the plot seamlessly. What stood out most to me was the emotionally charged dynamic among the main characters: Caelora’s quest for vengeance intertwined with her complicated bonds to Kaden and Jace creates a tension that keeps the plot gripping. The depiction of morally gray characters added authenticity to the story, avoiding simple good-vs-evil tropes. The age gap and student/teacher tension made the romance feel more intricate and mature, while the queer normative setting provided refreshing inclusivity. Also, the slow burn pacing that leads to a passionate explosion kept me hooked, balancing angst and spice expertly. Reading about Caelora’s scars—both emotional and physical—and how others acknowledge and accept her struggles really resonated with me. It’s rare to see such care-taking themes in fantasy romances handled with sensitivity and depth. The weakening Aetherbind and the threat of ancient powers emerging offered high stakes that enhanced the suspense. Overall, Between Lark and Lore perfectly blends mythic fantasy with raw, dark romance and complex interpersonal dynamics. If you enjoy stories with layered characters, forbidden magic, and exploration of power, control, and surrender, this trilogy will be an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend starting with the original trilogy for full emotional impact but also appreciate how this story can stand on its own. Preordering it and adding it to my Goodreads list was an easy choice!
