Three years ago, Poppy and Riven were matched but ended the Festival being just friends.

Now, three failed Festivals of Fates later, Poppy is officially done letting magic meddle in her love life.

So when her charming, infuriatingly handsome friend Riven enters the Festival, she fully intends to cheer him on from the sidelines—far away from the Moirai, the three meddling witches who run the Festival of Fates.

Unfortunately, Fate has other plans.

Thanks to a “minor administrative error” from the Moirai, Poppy is magically bound to Riven instead.

Now stranded together on an enchantment-soaked island for a month of trials, forced proximity, and very public matchmaking, Poppy insists this is all pretend—just a temporary fix to avoid the Moirai’s curse and help Riven save face.

But between truth spells, torchlit nights, and a dangerously convincing fake relationship, Riven’s playful charm starts to slip into something far more real.

Riven’s protectiveness turns fierce, her heart turns traitorous, and Fate begins whispering that maybe her three failed matches weren’t failures at all—just practice for the one man she never saw coming...again
