9 years in unmedicated remission

Scleroderma controlled my life for over 12 years and this week I’m celebrating freedom.

... Read moreScleroderma, a chronic autoimmune disease, affects each individual differently, presenting unique challenges and triumphs. My journey of remission began after over a decade of battling this condition. During this time, I learned valuable lessons about health, well-being, and the importance of a support community. The fluctuation of symptoms can often be overwhelming, leading to moments of self-doubt and fatigue. However, through persistence and commitment to holistic approaches, I have not only managed my symptoms but have experienced significant improvements. Diet, lifestyle alterations, and stress management have all played roles in my healing process. For others facing similar struggles, consider exploring dietary changes like gluten-free or anti-inflammatory diets, which can be beneficial for autoimmune conditions. Engaging with communities, whether online or physically, can provide immense support and shared knowledge. Groups dedicated to autoimmune awareness often share insights, personal experiences, and encouragement which can be instrumental in one’s healing journey. Remember, you are not alone in this fight against chronic illness. As we spread awareness about conditions like scleroderma, let’s also foster open conversations around mental health, enabling individuals to share their experiences without stigma. Celebrating milestones in health can inspire others dealing with chronic issues and motivate them to remain hopeful and proactive in their healing journeys.

Save this if you want to go unmedicated!
Giving birth unmedicated was something I always knew I wanted to do! There are multiple personal reasons I had but one main thing was…. I WANTED TO! 😅 and honestly that's all that matters. I definitely don't feel like the decision to go unmedicated or get an epidural is an easy one. What

Being in remission & getting your life back sounds amazing. (Spoiler… it is.) But how do you fight for your health before you have any proof it’s possible? This is the first step: You have to break up with the all-or-nothing mindset. Now. If you skip this, your results won’t last. Why? B
