ถ้าพูดถึงหนังท่าแร่สำหรับคนที่สนใจหนังไทยแนวสยองขวัญและเรื่องราวทางศาสนาแล้ว หนังเรื่องนี้ถือว่าทำออกมาได้น่าสนใจและแตกต่างจากหนังไทยทั่วไปมากครับ ที่ชอบที่สุดคือการนำเสนอบรรยากาศชุมชนท่าแร่ที่เป็นคาทอลิกเก่าแก่ ทำให้เราได้เห็นวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีที่หาดูได้ยากในฉากหนัง อีกทั้งการผสมผสานระหว่างความเชื่อคริสต์กับความเชื่อพื้นบ้านแบบหมอเหยา ในเรื่องของการปราบปีศาจกลายเป็นเรื่องที่น่าติดตามเพราะไม่เคยเห็นในหนังเรื่องไหนมาก่อน ตัวละครมีความหลากหลายและมีมิติมาก ทั้งบาทหลวงที่ต้องเจอวิกฤตและหมอเหยาที่ใช้วิธีพื้นบ้าน มันให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนเรากำลังเห็นความเป็นจริงที่ผสมผสานกันอย่างสมบูรณ์ เรื่องนี้ถ้าถามว่าท่าแร่สนุกไหม ผมตอบได้เลยว่าคุ้มค่ากับการไปดูในโรง หนังมีความตื่นเต้นระทึกขวัญและฉากพิธีกรรมที่ดูแล้วน่าติดตาม นอกจากนี้ยังมีการแสดงที่ดีจากเจมส์ จิรายุและมีน พีรวิชญ์ ทำให้บทบาทบาทหลวงและหมอเหยามีความสมจริง สุดท้ายถ้าใครสนใจหนังที่มีความลึกซึ้งทางวัฒนธรรม แถมยังดูสนุกได้ด้วย ท่าแร่ตอบโจทย์มากครับ และยังเป็นหนังที่เปิดโอกาสให้คนรุ่นใหม่ได้เห็นภาพความเป็นอยู่และความเชื่อของชุมชนเก่าแก่ของไทยอย่างชัดเจนด้วย
