In the era when Chiang Mai was beginning to blossom tourism, Mrs. Ladda Panthapha, a businesswoman with a broad vision, created more than 99 acres of land along the irrigation canal to become "Laddaland," the greatest botanical garden and cultural performance center in the north.

Under the support of Major General Artificial Panthapha, Mrs. Ladda's husband, a supporting officer and also owner of the Viang Pink Cinema.

# Laddaland is not just a housing estate, as many later misunderstood.It is "Disneyland Thailand," with its winter flower garden, various orchids, dance performances, elephant parades, horses, and small trains that bring joy to the Chiang Mai family. Admission for a few baht becomes a precious memory of the children of that era.

Glory walked to a turning point in late 1977, when economic factors began to shake; the expansion of the city and new tourist attractions caused Luddaland's income to dwindle, coupled with Mrs. Ludda and her family beginning to age; fatigue from the administration of the large area made the decision to "shut down" in 1980 a difficult but necessary choice.

Throughout the operation, "There was never a murder case lifting the kitchen" or "The Burmese maid killing case" took place within the Laddaland area. Those events were just "urban legends" that were later added.

After the area was abandoned, the formerly beautiful trees grew to thick cover, the ever-bright atmosphere turned to silence and wangweng, the lights from the ever-bright Thai wooden pavilion began to darken, and villagers and students roaming the irrigation canal route at night began to tell of the mysteries.

Mrs. Ladda's son, Dishthagorn Panthapha, confirmed through the program that his family had not suffered the terrible fate that the rumors claimed. Mrs. Ladda died of ageing peacefully, and her original intention was to make the place a "living memorial" and a treasure for the people of Chiang Mai.

Today, Luddaland may change over time, but the image of the nationally famous "haunted village" is caused by a combination of fear in the human mind and the atmosphere of abandoned places and the transmission of distorted information through the media and social media in the later period......
