My FAVORITE hair care 🤍

Ready to rebuild your hair? Olaplex is a staple in the hair care community, but which products are worth it and which aren’t? Here’s my in depth review on the products I own:

🫧Olaplex N’9: I use this product after every wash day. Typically I wash my hair around 2x a week, but if you are an avid hair washer don’t over use this product. It is a great hair protectant, but if you have the Olaplex Oil, maybe pass on this.

🫧 Olaplex N’6: Worth every penny! I love this product. It reduces and frizz without weighing my hair down and lasts quite a few days. This is similar to the WOW Dream Coat.

🫧Olaplex Volumizing Mist: This is an amazing product as well. Many volumizing sprays I’ve used in the past pull and dry out my hair, this does the opposite. If you want to achieve a bouncy blow out I would recommend this.

🫧 Olaplex N’0: Honestly I use this product maybe once a month, but for $30 you don’t get many uses out of it. I’ve used it twice and it is already almost gone. There are other breakage treatments that you could buy for the same cost and last you longer.

🫧 Olaplex N’7: This is a great oil and for being so tiny it lasts me awhile. A little goes a long way. The only downside is I’ve heard people saying if you use it too often it may bring brassiness to your hair. That has never been the case for me, but it’s useful information for blondes. All in all, it’s a great heat protectant and reduces frizz/puffiness to my hair.

🫧 Olaplex Clarifying Shampoo: 100% worth every cent. Being that I only wash my hair 2x a week, my hair gets a lot of build up from various products being put into it. This is the BEST clarifying shampoo I have ever used.

🫧 Olaplex Purple Shampoo: This is a very very good purple shampoo. It is more of a toner so I recommend mixing it with your traditional shampoo. Do not use a lot of this or leave it on too long or else your hair will turn gray.

... Read moreAfter diving deep into my favorite Olaplex products, I know many of you are probably wondering: 'Okay, but which Olaplex products do *I* actually need for my hair?' It can be a little overwhelming with so many numbers and specific uses! From personal experience, the key to building your perfect Olaplex hair repair system lineup is understanding your hair's unique needs and how each product plays its part. First, let's talk about the 'system' itself. Olaplex is renowned for its patented bond-building technology, which works to repair damaged hair from the inside out. It's not just about aesthetics; it's about restoring the actual health and integrity of your hair. When I first started, I thought I needed *everything*, but I quickly learned to be strategic. If your primary concern is repairing existing damage and strengthening your hair, you'll want to look at the core treatment products. The Olaplex N'0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment (as mentioned in my review) is fantastic when paired with N'3, though I didn't review N'3 here, it's often considered the flagship at-home treatment. It primes your hair for deeper repair. For severe breakage, don't skip these foundational steps! Dealing with frizz and flyaways is a major problem for many, including me. That's where Olaplex N'6 Bond Smoother becomes a non-negotiable. I can attest, it truly reduces frizz without weighing my hair down. Pairing it with Olaplex N'7 Bonding Oil for extra shine and heat protection (yes, N'7 is also a great heat protectant!) makes a huge difference. The oil also helps with frizz and puffiness, a little goes a very long way! For those who love a bouncy blow-out or just want some extra lift, the Olaplex Volumizing Mist is a game-changer. I was skeptical about volumizers not drying out my hair, but this one truly delivers without the crunch. And speaking of protection, Olaplex N'9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum is another fantastic heat protectant that also adds nourishment. If you use heat styling regularly, these are must-haves to shield your strands. Blondes, listen up! Maintaining that perfect tone and fighting brassiness without over-drying is a challenge. My experience with Olaplex N'4P Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo has been great, but remember my tip: mix it with your regular shampoo and don't leave it on too long to avoid a grey tint! It really enhances brightness. Finally, for scalp health and deep cleansing, the Olaplex N'4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo is exceptional. If you use a lot of styling products like I do, or live in an area with hard water, this deep cleans to get rid of excess buildup, restoring softness and shine. It's a lifesaver for making sure your other treatments can penetrate effectively. So, how do you decide which Olaplex do you need? Damaged/Weak Hair: N'0, N'3 (if you decide to get it separately for a full treatment), N'6. Frizzy Hair: N'6, N'7. Heat Styling: N'9, N'7. Blonde/Colored Hair: N'4P (Purple Shampoo), N'4C (Clarifying Shampoo). Lackluster/Heavy Hair: N'4C. Building your Olaplex routine doesn't mean buying every product. Start with 2-3 products that target your biggest concerns (e.g., a treatment, a styling aid, and a shampoo). Over time, you can add more if you feel a gap in your routine. Remember, consistency is key, and observing how your hair responds will guide you to your ultimate Olaplex lineup. Trust me, finding the right combination for your hair is incredibly rewarding!
