I am starting to get into fantasy books, after only really reading mystery and romance. As my first fantasy series, I think this was a good choice. The storyline in this book is unpredictable and easy to follow. From learning how the process works to become a rider, to the character changes and twists, I couldn’t stop reading. I liked that the fantasy side was intriguing enough to make me feel like I was a part of the story, but I still didn’t feel fully captivated. I’m on book two, Iron Flame, so I definitely enjoyed the read enough to continue but I’m hoping that I can get more invested in this one and eager to read it! #fantasybookreview #fantasybookrecommendation
