VALENTINE’S DAY BOOKS FOR BABIES & TODDLERS

My daughter is seven months old and one thing I have been loving so far that I do as a mom is getting a few books related to her first holidays when it comes time!

It’s a pretty cheap thing to do and every year from now on I will remember reading these to her during her first year ❤️. Another thing I absolutely love about doing this is that more often than not I find some classics that my mom used to read to me, and now I get to read them to my daughter! My mom used to read me Dr. Seuss, the Biscuit books, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar! When I see those books I think about such a special time with my mom and now I get to create the same memories with my daughter. The Llama Llama books are new to me but I am excited to add some newer books to her collection as well!

... Read moreValentine's Day is a wonderful opportunity to introduce your baby or toddler to the joy of reading. Many families cherish the tradition of reading holiday-themed books to create lasting memories together. Not only are these stories delightful, but they also help to foster a love for literature from a young age. Popular choices include Dr. Seuss's whimsical tales, which are known for their playful rhymes and vibrant illustrations. Titles like 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle are not only engaging but also interactive, making them perfect for young listeners. Another excellent addition is 'Llama Llama I Love You', which conveys simple messages of love and affection. When selecting books, consider your child's interests and any favorites that you may have enjoyed as a child yourself. This can create a special bond as you introduce them to stories that have meaning to you. Checking local libraries or bookstores can yield delightful finds, ensuring that you're not just gifting books, but also creating cherished family time. Don't forget to engage your little ones with questions about the stories as you read, which can enhance their comprehension and enjoyment. By choosing books that celebrate love and friendship, you not only help improve your child's language skills but also instill positive, heartwarming sentiments associated with reading. Enjoy this Valentine's Day by sharing books that your family will treasure for years to come!
