TART CHERRY JUICE BEFORE BED - DOES IT WORK? 🍒 💤

Alright guys, we tested the tart cherry juice theory!!

I’ve seen it become sort of a trend for people to talk about how they swear by using tart cherry juice before bed to help their kids sleep, and who doesn’t want their kids to sleep better 😅, so we gave it a whirl.

It was fine and we saw maybe a tiny bit of improvement sleep-wise, but probably won’t continue to do it just because it didn’t make a huge impact and there is a lot of sugar in tart cherry juice…

Plus I don’t want my daughter getting hooked on juice because then she will only want that knowing her 😂

... Read moreTart cherry juice has gained popularity among parents as a potential sleep aid for children, with claims that it can improve sleep quality. While our experiment showed minimal impact on sleep improvement, research indicates that tart cherry juice is more effective for adults. Tart cherries are naturally rich in melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles, which may explain its usage as a nighttime beverage. Many parents wonder if the juice can replace bedtime routines or help children settle down. However, it's essential to consider the sugar content, as too much sugar could contribute to hyperactivity rather than relaxation, leading to sleepless nights. In our findings, the experience varied significantly among different children, highlighting that individual responses may differ. While some children may benefit from a small amount of tart cherry juice, others may not see any noticeable changes. Understanding your child's unique needs and behaviors is crucial when trying out new remedies for sleep. Many parents suggest combining tart cherry juice with a consistent bedtime routine, ensuring that kids have a calming environment before sleep. The juice can be a supplementary option rather than a standalone solution. Consulting with a pediatrician before introducing tart cherry juice into a child's diet is advisable, especially for children who may have sensitivities or dietary restrictions. In conclusion, while tart cherry juice offers potential benefits for sleep, its effectiveness can vary widely. Each child is different, and it's essential to consider various aspects, including lifestyle habits, diet, and individual preferences, when aiming for better sleep outcomes.
