It’s essential to prepare your skin before sun exposure, and that starts with a reliable sunscreen to protect against harmful UV rays. Tanning oils and bronzers can expedite the process, but hydration plays a critical role too. Drinking adequate water and consuming hydrating foods ensures your skin remains nourished, reducing the risk of peeling after sun exposure.
Additionally, aloe vera is an excellent post-tan remedy that promotes healing and soothes sunburn. Applying aloe vera gel three times a day can help maintain moisture in the skin and decrease the likelihood of redness and irritation. Remember, moderation is key when it comes to tanning—spend ample time in the sun, but be mindful to protect your skin's health and prevent lasting damage. For optimal results, consider planning your tan around peak sun hours for maximum absorption, while still being cautious to avoid overexposure.
