Attending the LA Lineman Rodeo has always been an incredible experience for me, especially the 2026 edition which showcased some of the best skills in the industry. What's fascinating about the event is how it brings together linemen from across Los Angeles, including professionals from LADWP and DWP, to compete in highly skilled challenges that truly test their expertise and teamwork. One of the highlights this year was the strong presence of Half Hitch Line Co as a sponsor, supporting competitors like AJ Reale, who have become local heroes in the lineman community. These rodeos not only provide thrilling competition but also offer a valuable platform for vendors and companies to introduce new tools and three-phase line products that aid in the daily work of linemen. The event included a Kid’s Corner, making it family-friendly and engaging for all ages, which was a beautiful touch that stresses the community-focused nature of the rodeo. Plus, the food and refreshments such as the beloved Torta and locally inspired ice cream were a perfect complement to the day’s activities. For anyone interested in the electrical power industry or looking to appreciate the demanding and skilled work of linemen, the LA Lineman Rodeo is a must-see annual event. It highlights not only competition but also camaraderie, safety practices, and innovation in the field.
