Mermaid ACEO
Here’s a mermaid painting I did that I’m selling on EBay. Someone already put a bid in which is really cool. I’m trying to thoroughly test out trading cards to see how worth it it is to make and sell them. It’s fun so far.

Creating and selling ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals) pieces like my mermaid painting can be an exciting venture for artists looking to share their work in a collectible format. ACEO cards are typically 2.5" x 3.5" miniature artworks that are easy to trade or sell, making them perfect for experimenting with new designs and reaching an audience interested in fantasy art and unique collectibles. From my experience testing the market on eBay, the response to fantasy-themed ACEO cards has been encouraging. The initial bids confirm that there is a community appreciating small-scale, detailed artwork. The compact size of ACEO cards also allows artists to produce and sell affordable pieces, broadening appeal without the higher commitment of larger paintings. Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a natural extension of ACEOs, often traded within artist communities to foster connections and expose work to new people. Experimenting with these cards offers the chance to understand which themes and styles resonate most with collectors. For anyone exploring fantasy art or mermaid motifs, these cards offer a manageable canvas to express creativity while testing the commercial potential. If you're considering creating ACEOs or artist trading cards, ensure your designs are vivid and detailed even at a small scale. Packaging and presentation can also make a difference when selling online. Platforms like eBay provide a convenient marketplace to gauge interest and build a following. Overall, engaging with trading cards can be both fun and rewarding, adding a fresh dimension to your artistic practice.
