Is the Starbucks Brown Sugar Latte actually worth almost $8? 💸

Craving a coffee run but don't know what to order? ☕️

Okay so I picked up my two goto drinks from Starbucks today to see which one's actually worth your money!

On the left we have the classic iced latte with oat milk, and on the right is the black iced coffee with sugars free vanilla. Honestly, the latte is super smooth and creamy, but it sets you back around $7.45 for a venti with the oat milk up charge! The iced coffee is way cheaper (around $5.25), super refreshing, and gives you that instant caffeine kick without all the heavy milk.

If you want a sweet treat, go for the latte. But if you just need to survive the afternoon, stick to the iced coffee! Definitely a pass on buying the latte every day unless you're feeling fancy 🙈

... Read moreHaving tried both the Starbucks Brown Sugar Latte and the black iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla multiple times, I can share some personal insights that might help you decide which one to pick. The Brown Sugar Latte has a rich, creamy texture thanks to the oat milk, and its sweetness is perfectly balanced by the brown sugar syrup. This makes it feel like a little indulgence—ideal if you're in the mood for a dessert-like beverage. However, the price approaching $8 for a venti size does make it a treat rather than an everyday drink for me. The oat milk upgrade definitely ups the creaminess but also the cost. If you're sensitive to budget but want that comforting latte vibe, perhaps consider a smaller size or a non-upgraded milk option. On the other hand, the iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla is refreshingly light, providing a clean caffeine boost. The sugar-free vanilla adds flavor without extra calories or sugar, which I appreciate during hectic afternoons when I need energy without feeling weighed down. At around $5.25, it's a smart choice for daily consumption if you want to stay energized without splurging. I've found it pairs well with on-the-go mornings or as a pick-me-up before afternoon tasks. From personal experience, I recommend the latte for those moments when you want to treat yourself or impress someone with a fancy drink. For everyday caffeine needs, the sugar-free vanilla iced coffee is practical and satisfying. Trying both might help you find your favorite based on mood and budget. When ordering, you can also customize your drink to better suit your preferences—such as choosing non-dairy options, adjusting sweetness levels, or picking different sizes. Exploring Starbucks’ menu and experimenting with add-ons can transform your coffee run into a personalized experience.
