Hey everyone! As a huge fan of the quirky and unforgettable world of EarthBound, embarking on my collection journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences. There's just something magical about holding a physical piece of a game that means so much to you, right? For me, a true EarthBound collection goes beyond just owning the game. Of course, the holy grail for many is the original Super Nintendo cartridge, complete with its iconic EarthBound video game logo gracing the box. But the collection doesn't stop there! I've been on the lookout for all sorts of treasures, from official strategy guides that are packed with charming artwork to rare Japanese Mother series imports that offer a glimpse into the game's origins. Then there's the merchandise! Plushies of Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo, figures of iconic enemies, and even soundtracks with those unforgettable tunes – each item adds to the story of the game. It's amazing to see how fans interpret the game's unique aesthetic. I recently stumbled upon some incredible fan art depicting a 'golden, spiky robot-like character' from the game that truly captured its mysterious vibe. It makes you wonder how many unique pieces of EarthBound history are out there; sometimes I even imagine having 3870 unique items in my collection someday! It's a fun thought, even if it's just a number for now. My advice for anyone just starting their own EarthBound collection? Be patient, do your research, and connect with other fans! Online communities are fantastic for trading tips, finding hidden gems, and even spotting those elusive items you never thought you'd own. Don't be afraid to explore garage sales, retro game stores, and online marketplaces. Sometimes the best finds come from the most unexpected places. Whether you're aiming for a complete set of every regional variant, every piece of official merchandise, or just a few cherished items that hold special meaning, the journey of building an EarthBound collection is truly special.
