review of TSITP series
Sooooo I’ve been telling my sister I would read this series for…. years. Literally. I finallyyyy read them last month in May, and I have some thoughts.
Reading them right at the end of the school year (high school teacher here!) was perfect. The atmosphere of Cousins Beach and the books in general was top tier summer vibes! That was actually probably my favorite thing about the entire series.
Keeping in mind that I am 24 and reading this series for the first time, I really thought it was just okay. A lot of people my age or older seem to have lots of nostalgia with this series that makes it so special to them. Since I didn’t have that, I thought it was just okay.
The highlights for me were the summer atmosphere and Susannah’s character. I thought the end of the third book and the series was very rushed. I’d give the series as a whole 3⭐️, and my favorite book was the second one.
