Walking up, the first thing that strikes you is the incredible Gothic Revival architecture. The stone facade is just incredible, adorned with such intricate stone carvings that I spent ages just admiring the details. From a wide, low-angle view, you can really take in the grandeur – those distinctive green roofs and prominent towers stand out against the clear blue sky, making for some fantastic photos. I even got a detailed close-up of the main entrance, with its impressive large wooden door and the sculpted relief above it, featuring an intricate arched design. It's like stepping back in time, imagining horse-drawn carriages pulling up to this very entrance! Historically, this building is absolutely fascinating. It housed the offices of early Prime Ministers like Sir John A. Macdonald and ministers of the Crown. Imagine the pivotal decisions made within these walls, shaping the very foundation of Canada!
