Unapologetically On WIC
Let’s get real for a second: I’m a proud mom doing what’s best for my family, and yes, that includes using WIC. It’s a program meant to support women, infants, and children—and I’m grateful for it. But I recently came across a comment that stuck with me: “I don’t want my tax dollars going to your irresponsibility.”
Here’s the thing: WIC isn’t about irresponsibility. It’s about making sure children have access to the nutrition they need to thrive. It’s about helping moms—like me—who are making every effort to provide the best for their families.
If you’re a mom on WIC, I want you to hear this: You are not a burden. You are not “less than.” You are doing what you need to for your kids, and that’s something to be proud of.
Programs like WIC exist for a reason. No one should feel embarrassed or judged for accepting help, whether it’s temporary or long-term. So, let’s change the narrative. Let’s lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.

I am also a mom on WIC. Personally, I think everyone should be. It gives you resources for breastfeeding, helps with formula if that's what you choose to do (which is crazy expensive), and who doesn't need a little help with buying baby food especially if your a first time mom. I have had WIC with all 3 of my babies.❤️
