What “controversial” thing do you do as a mom?
It’s wild how so many things we do as moms are labeled “controversial” when we’re just doing what works best for our families!
For me:
• My son plays with toy kitchens and dolls because cooking and caregiving aren’t just “girl” things.
• My kids get screen time at different points throughout the day—it’s all about balance!
• I formula-fed one baby and breastfed the other because each baby has different needs.
• My kids spend a few hours at their grandparents’ house every other week so they can bond with family—and so I can get a much-needed break and tackle bigger chores.
Honestly, why are these things even up for debate? Moms should feel empowered to do what works for them without judgment.
What about you? What are your “controversial” mom moves? Let’s talk about it—no judgment here!

Parenting often involves making decisions that can be considered controversial, but it's essential to prioritize what works best for your family. For instance, encouraging children to engage in diverse play activities, like using toy kitchens and dolls, helps break down gender stereotypes and fosters creativity. Additionally, managing screen time in a balanced way can be beneficial, ensuring that kids have opportunities for social interaction and development. Furthermore, every child has unique needs. Some parents may choose to breastfeed while others opt for formula feeding based on their children's requirements. These parenting choices should not be judged; instead, they should be celebrated for their individuality. Regular family visits, like spending time with grandparents, also provide emotional support for both children and parents, encouraging strong family bonds while allowing caregivers to recharge. In today’s parenting landscape, discussions around controversial topics, such as discipline techniques or dietary choices, are prevalent. It’s vital to create a safe space for sharing different perspectives. So, the next time you feel uneasy about a parenting decision, remember that what may seem controversial to one person is simply another mom embracing her family's needs. Let’s keep the dialogue open and supportive!

Personally, I love posts like this. Love to read the comments and see how other moms are momming out there. You never know when someone’s perspective will open up yours! I think you’re doing a wonderful job and my momming style is very similar.❤️
