I bought a new car! 😍
It’s a 2013 Dodge Avenger who I named Toni (play off of Tony Stark)
It’s got Apple car play, under glow lights, a $500 subwoofer, added leather seats and decals and a NEW TRANSMISSION!
Paid $3k cash!
I honestly can’t stand the trend “I pay $800+ a month bc I wanted apple car play #imjustagirl “ BS. Talk about financially irresponsible 🤢 for the girls who CAN afford it, Awesome! But most girl are going broke bc they wanna “flex” and that’s so sad to me.
I’m proud to say I got a beater car 😌 I do have to put in about $1,100 of maintenance and it’s just ball bearing issues that has to be fixed and fluids to be topped (which I can do myself)

BE PROUD OF UR BEATER CARS! U girls work too hard to be broke!
Finding the perfect car doesn't always mean breaking the bank! I totally get the satisfaction of driving something reliable and fun without the burden of huge monthly payments. When I was looking for my ride, my main goal was financial freedom, and that's exactly what my 2013 Dodge Avenger gives me. It's not just about the upfront cost; older models like this one have already taken the biggest hit in depreciation, meaning you get more car for your money without losing value as quickly. Plus, there's a unique pride in owning your car outright – no loans, no stress! One of the best parts about getting an older car is the freedom to customize it exactly how you want. I saw my Avenger as a blank canvas! If you're thinking of upgrading your interior, start with the basics. Adding a modern touch like Apple CarPlay can totally transform your driving experience, even in a 2013 model. I found that a good 'DASH KIT' makes installation much smoother. For seats, you don't always need a full re-upholstery; high-quality seat covers can give you that luxurious leather feel without the hefty price tag. And for a bit of personal flair, those green underglow lights I added? They make night drives so much cooler and were surprisingly easy to install. Don't forget about sound! Upgrading to powerful subwoofers, maybe even a Dual brand setup, can make your car feel like a concert hall on wheels. It's all about making your car truly *yours*. Now, about keeping older cars running smoothly – reliability is key! When I was looking at my Avenger, I made sure to do my homework. It's always smart to check for common issues with specific models, like the 2013 Dodge Avenger. Things like suspension components (those 'ball bearing issues' I mentioned) are often wear-and-tear items on older vehicles, but they're usually manageable fixes. Before you buy, always get a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. They can spot things you might miss and give you peace of mind. Keeping up with basic maintenance, like checking and topping off fluids regularly, can save you a lot of headaches down the line. It's amazing what a little DIY attention can do! Another huge plus for opting for a more affordable ride? Car insurance! It’s generally much cheaper to insure an older, less expensive vehicle. This was a big factor for me in choosing my Avenger. While custom modifications like subwoofers or underglow lights can sometimes affect your premium, the base cost is usually significantly lower than insuring a brand-new, high-value car. Always be transparent with your insurance provider about any upgrades to ensure proper coverage. It’s all part of being financially savvy and enjoying your car without breaking the bank.
