I was eliminated!!!
I was eliminated 🚨
Thanks to you all, I was able to get to the top 5 (4th round) of the Peoples Artist contest! That was such a feat for me, it made me feel like I had made it! (My bank account doesn't feel that way about no prize money but oh well 😂)
So what's next? Easy, continue working on the current series "Burnt Film" and send out some orders! I have some gifts I am sending out to a couple of you and I can't wait to show off the prints in that package!
Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement! 💕 I am beyond grateful
Participating in a competitive art contest like the Peoples Artist contest is a rollercoaster of emotions. From the excitement of advancing to the 4th round and landing in the top 5, to the bittersweet feeling of elimination without a prize, the experience is both challenging and rewarding. What I found most valuable was the opportunity to share my art and connect with an audience who appreciated the perspective and emotions behind my work. Being able to place 4th in my group was a strong affirmation that my art was resonating with people. Even though the bank account didn’t reflect a prize, the exposure and encouragement were priceless. The key takeaway for me is to keep pushing forward. I’m continuing my current art series, ‘Burnt Film,’ which explores themes through a distinct lens and creative process. I’m also thrilled to be sending out gifts and prints to supporters, which is a wonderful way to give back and celebrate this journey. For anyone considering entering similar contests or artistic challenges, my advice is to value the experience and growth over just winning. Each stage offers insight and feedback that can improve your craft and help you build a dedicated audience. Appreciate the community and keep creating—sometimes the journey itself is the biggest win. Thanks again to everyone who supported me with their encouragement and kind words—it truly fuels the creative spirit and keeps me inspired to produce meaningful art.
