The book of Exodus :)

Hello babes, I have recently been rereading the book of exodus recently and there are 3 things that stood out to me. We all know this is the book that speak the journey of freeing the people of Israel from Egypt. Reading this book this time around this is what caught my attention

1. God want us with him,

He send for a men who had left Egypt 40 years before who was a murder, had a stuttering problem, who was quick to point out all his faults. God still wanted him. Just like He wants us!

2. The blocking of certain things, 10 plagues and God still had a hand in pharaoh hardening his heart and not letting his people go, because sometimes the more you wait for something the more you enjoy what it is that has been given to you. Freedom was the goal and after all the people of Israel had seen they still didn’t trust God and ultimately didn’t make it into the promise land.

3. I love how starting in chapter 30 God starts to form the foundation of the nation of Israel was going to look like he sets apart Aaron and his sons and give every last measurements of everything that was going to be build to praise his name even the craft men was were appointed. To receive God instructions Moises was in the presence of God. He was speaking to him and taking it all down. There is always detailed instructions we just have to be in the presence of God to receive them.

First, God’s unwavering desire for connection is emphasized through His choice of leaders like Moses, who, despite his flaws, was summoned to lead. This illustrates that God values our willingness to serve Him above our past mistakes. Secondly, the narrative of the ten plagues serves as a reminder that obstacles can sometimes enhance our appreciation for freedom and growth. Just as the Israelites faced challenges before liberation, we also encounter trials that can strengthen our faith. This theme encourages readers to embrace their spiritual journeys with patience. Finally, the extensive details provided for building the Israelite community underscore the importance of precision in following divine instructions. This not only reflects God's desire for order but also shows that our attention to detail in our spiritual practices can lead to greater fulfillment. Through these lessons, modern readers can gain insight into applying these enduring truths in their lives, fostering a deeper relationship with God.
