Countries I Visited in 2025
This year I was lucky enough to visit seven countries, five of which were new to me.
Italy - Italy was not super high on my priority list, but it has since become one of my favorite places I’ve been to so far. I spent a week and a half exploring the island of Sicily and I had the best time ever!
Malta - Another country that wasn’t super high on my priority list, but I really enjoyed it! While I only had a few days here they were incredible; I definitely think I’ll be visit Malta again in the future.
Hungary - This was my second time in Hungary and it was even better than the first! I got to revisit all the places I loved before and fall in love with even more things! Hungary is a place I can see myself visiting over and over again.
Slovakia - My second time in Slovakia did not disappoint! I feel like Slovakia is definitely an underrated travel destination!
Serbia - I didn’t get to spend as much time in Serbia as I would’ve liked, overall I did enjoy the short amount of time I had here.
Romania - I love love love Romania! I got to visit several cities in Romania all of which were fantastic!
Bulgaria - I only had a few hours here and it most certainly was not enough time! The little time I had there was incredible though.
2025 has been one of my favorite years in regards to traveling, I’m looking forward to what 2026 has in store as well!
Where did you travel to in 2025? Do you have any travel plans for 2026?

Traveling to seven diverse countries in 2025 offered an exceptional opportunity to experience different cultures, cuisines, and landscapes across Europe. Italy’s Sicily island impressed with its rich history, stunning coastlines, and vibrant local food scene, while Malta captivated with its unique Mediterranean charm despite a short visit. Revisiting Hungary revealed even more reasons to love this country, with its beautiful architecture and warm atmosphere encouraging repeat visits. Slovakia often flies under the radar but proved to be a hidden gem with its natural parks, medieval castles, and traditional villages offering authentic experiences without the crowds. Serbia, although briefly visited, left a positive impression with its energetic urban life and friendly locals eager to share their culture. Romania’s multiple cities showcased a perfect blend of gothic and medieval sights alongside lively street scenes and welcoming hospitality, making it a standout destination for any traveler. Even a few hours in Bulgaria were enough to appreciate its dynamic culture and picturesque settings, fueling the desire to explore more in future trips. These journeys underline how traveling can surprise us beyond expectations, turning less prioritized places into favorites. Planning trips to lesser-known European nations enriches travel memories with fresh perspectives and genuine connections.
