Every year in mid-April, it was closed all winter.八幡平アスピーテライン"Snow Corridor" appeared with the opening of the mountain driveway (about 27 km in total length across Iwate and Akita) 🏔️

春の訪れを告げる八幡平アスピーテラインの雪の回廊は、私も数年前に訪れて感動した景色のひとつです。4月中旬に開通すると一気に道の両側にそびえ立つ雪の壁が現れ、その高さは場所によっては7メートルを超えています。実際に運転すると、まるで雪のトンネルの中を走っているような感覚で、普段見慣れない白の壁に圧倒されました。青空が晴れ渡っている日には、雪の白さが一層際立ち、写真映えも抜群です。 また、秋田県側に渡ってすぐの大深沢展望台では標高1,560mの高地から岩手山や月山、鳥海山など周囲の名峰を一望できるので、雪の回廊のドライブの締めくくりにぴったり。私が訪れた際は、風も穏やかで、遠くの山並みまで見渡せました。展望台の駐車場が少ないため、混雑時は譲り合うマナーも忘れずに。 気をつけたいのは、開通直後の道路状況。例年GW期間中はまだ念のためスタッドレスタイヤやチェーンの装備を携行すべきです。天候が急変しやすい山岳道路なので、安全対策は必須です。公式サイトでの最新情報チェックは欠かせません。 この雪の回廊は日本一の長さでありながら、アクセスの便も良く、車で気軽に楽しめる絶景スポットとしておすすめします。春の東北旅行の計画にぜひ加えて、壮大な自然の美しさを堪能してみてください。
