I DIDNT KNOW‼️
2 hours after this picture was taken, I didn't know I would be unemployed. I rarely take pictures, but on this particular day, I felt pretty good about myself. I ended up missing work this day due to my car finally giving out on me. I've been employed at this job site (I can't name them) for a little over 5 years. I enjoyed my job, I maintenance, line cook, wash dishes, help customers pretty much whatever they needed, regardless of being tired I enjoy it. my fellow co-worker got promoted to supervisor. I was so happy for her.
I went outside to warm my car up, I realized that my car wouldn't start, so I decided to call in to let them know my situation. she told me, "Not to worry about it, she'll get someone to cover my shift." I responded."Thanks, I appreciate that." Since I have an extra off day, I decided to do some cleaning. I put a little old school music on & I'm jamming good. I received a notification. I grabbed my phone & realized she took me off the schedule completely. I'm puzzled.
I call up there to see what's going on. She picks up & tells me, "I'm no longer an employee there." I responded."What did I do to deserve to be fired?" she said. "I was scheduled to work, & decided not to show up." Surprised at her reasoning, I responded "wow" then hung up.
it was so much that I wanted to say, but I didn't. ultimately, I didn't feel like I was wanted or valued there as an employee. So I wasn't THAT much upset. I'm disappointed more than anything that I was let go so effortlessly, though.
I ended up getting a WAY EASIER job that also came with a $7 increase & much better incentives. I have 3 off days & more hours than my previous job. I'm so happy that things worked out like this. I no longer want for anything & im looking for a new car 🫶🏾God really shows out & shows me so much favor♥️
