HOW I EMAIL BRANDS IN 2024 | WHAT I SAY ✉️✨

🚪 Your next brand deal is no longer around the corner—it's sitting on your front porch! Now decide if you're going to open the door or not! 🌟

💐 OPPORTUNITIES ARE HERE FOR YOU 💐

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some tips on how I email brands, drawing from my experience of numerous successful and not-so-successful collaborations. My ex stole my phone on April 20, 2024, so I don’t have access to my most recent work since I didn't update my Google Photos with my iCloud recently. However, I found my collaboration with Good Molecules from August 2022 in my Google Photos. Although Good Molecules discovered me, here's how I would approach them if I were reaching out. Now, 5.5 months into emailing brands, I'm excited to help you get started. Here are some of my key pointers:

1. **Introduce Yourself**: Make sure your name is included. Introducing yourself is important for brands to know who you are and what you do.

- Example: "Hi, I'm Azarriah Lovett, a passionate content creator specializing in beauty and wellness."

2. **What Do You Do?**: Be creative and real about your work, school, niche(s), aspirations, hopes, and dreams.

- Example: "I create engaging beauty tutorials and reviews that help my audience make informed decisions about their skincare routines."

3. **Why You Love the Brand**: Do your research. Search their website, especially the "About Us" section, and be genuine in your admiration.

- Example: "I love Good Molecules because of their commitment to transparency and affordable, effective skincare."

4. **How You Came in Contact with Them**: Share your story.

- Example: "I discovered Good Molecules through a YouTube video and was impressed by their ingredient transparency."

5. **Why They Should Work with You**: Highlight what you bring to the table.

- Example: "My audience trusts my recommendations, and I can provide authentic, high-quality content that resonates with them."

6. **Propose Ideas**: Come with a plan.

- Example: "I would love to create a series of Instagram stories and posts showcasing a skincare routine using Good Molecules products."

7. **Thank Them**: Always express your gratitude.

- Example: "Thank you for considering this collaboration. I look forward to the possibility of working together."

8. **Be Mindful**: Speak things into existence.

- Example: "I believe this collaboration could be mutually beneficial and impactful."

9. **Subject Line Tips**: Come up with a catchy, not generic, subject line.

- Example: "Transforming Skincare Routines with Good Molecules—Let’s Collaborate!"

10. **Proactive Outreach**: I typically send out about 5 to 10 emails a day and aim for 25 a week. My usual emailing hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. However, you can always email a brand at any time. They are sure to leave an automatic response or reply when they are able, if interested.

11. **Media Kit**: Create a media kit and attach it to your email.

12. **Socials**: Include all your social media links at the end of your email above your attached media kit. Update your media kit every 3-6 months, especially if reapplying to the same brands. Stay proactive with posting on the platforms where the brand is most active, even if you have to use ideas from home.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! Remember, your next brand deal is just an email away. ✨

... Read moreHey creators! I know the hustle of reaching out to brands can feel a bit overwhelming, but trust me, it's totally worth it when you land that dream collaboration. Building on my initial tips, I want to dive a little deeper into some areas that can really make your outreach shine, especially if you're looking to show off your unique designs or secure those coveted social media posts. First off, let's talk about that media kit. It's more than just a resume; it's your visual portfolio! When brands search 'how to contact brands to show designs,' they want to see your best work. Think beyond just numbers. Include high-quality screenshots or links to your most engaging 'brand collaboration social media posts.' Did you create a stunning graphic or a captivating video for a past campaign? Showcase it! Even if you're just starting, mock-up a few 'design' concepts for a brand you admire. This shows initiative and your creative potential. I always update my 'media kit template' every few months to reflect my freshest work and any new skills I've gained. My personal rule? If I haven't updated it in three months, it's time for a refresh to ensure it always presents my absolute best, just like the 'GOOD MOLECULES' example I shared. Now, about that 'brand collaboration message' or 'email draft.' While my initial points cover the essentials, let's refine it. Beyond saying why you love a brand, demonstrate that understanding. For instance, if you're a 'Facebook creator' looking for 'Facebook brand collaborations,' specifically mention how your content performs on Facebook, what kind of engagement you get there, and how you envision their products fitting into your unique Facebook content style. This shows you've done your homework beyond just their 'About Us' page. A common mistake is sending a generic 'collaboration message to brands.' Instead, personalize every single one. I try to find a recent campaign or product launch from them and tie my pitch directly into it. This makes your 'how to email brands for collaboration' stand out immensely. Remember, you're not just asking for something; you're offering *value*. Clearly articulate how your audience and your content style align with their marketing goals. When proposing ideas for a 'brand collaboration social media post,' be specific. Instead of "I'll make a post," try "I envision a captivating Instagram Reel showcasing the versatility of your new product line, highlighting three unique ways my audience can integrate it into their routine, with a clear call to action to swipe up for a special discount code." This shows you've already thought through the creative and strategic aspects. Think about what success looks like for the brand – is it sales, brand awareness, user-generated content? Tailor your proposed deliverables to meet those potential goals. And don't forget the follow-up! Brands are busy. If you don't hear back after a week, a polite follow-up email can make all the difference. It shows professionalism and persistence. I've had deals materialize just from a well-timed follow-up, reminding them of the unique value I bring. It’s all part of the journey! Don't get discouraged if you don't hear back immediately or if you get a 'no.' Every 'no' is just practice for a bigger 'yes.' As the motivational text in my images says, 'You Got This LET'S BE FORREAL!' Keep refining your pitch, keep creating amazing content, and keep believing in the value you offer. Your next brand deal is just an email away, and with these tips, you're even more equipped to open that door wide! Consistency is key, even when it feels like a marathon, not a sprint.
